Minister Avcı meets with his Sudanese and Pakistani counterparts

Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı met with his Sudanese and Pakistani counterparts during his visit to Paris as a part of his program at the 38thGeneral Congress of UNESCO.

Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı who was in Paris to participate in the 38th General Congress of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) met with Sudanese Minister of Education Souad Abdalrazia.

Minister Avcı said, “I wish a good future for the two fellow countries which are Turkey and Sudan. We already have good relations with Sudan but we have to develop this relationship.”

Noting that there are only 36 Sudanese students studying in Turkey, Minister Avcı said that this figure is very low and he is expecting more students from Sudan. 

Minister Avcı stated that there is a technical cooperation agreement signed with Sudanese officials and according to this Turkey has sent teachers in order to provide technical support in terms of education adding that Turkey will send more teachers to the country. 

Meanwhile, Sudanese Minister Abdalrazia also wished a good future for Turkey and said, “We are supporting Turkey which has a strong stance in the region.”

Sudanese Minister Abdalrazia said that 7 million students are receiving education in 22 thousand schools in his country and they have been working in an effort to raise the quality of education. 

Later, Minister Avcı met with Pakistani Minister of Education Muhammed Baligh Rahman and exchanged views.
